It’s different for everybody. I have clients who come in once a week, once every other week, once a month, or once a season.

Those who make a regular effort to come in for a massage are those who have recognised that the massage is helpful for regulating their stress level or there is something specific that we are working on to address, such as neck pain or a joint injury. We’re working towards reducing pain and maintaining the health of the joint/tissue. These clients are using massage therapy as part of their health and wellness plan.

How do you decide how often to receive a massage?

Come in and have a session, and notice how you feel afterwards. Perhaps you feel the benefits for several days or weeks and decide to come in for a massage once a month. Maybe you have plenty of other things in place to support your health and wellness and choose to come in 3 or 4 times a year. Or maybe you are someone who wants to come in more regularly, fortnightly or weekly.

Ultimately, the decision on how often to receive a massage rests with you and your unique circumstances. It’s essential to listen to your body and pay attention to what feels right for you.

Whether you come in for weekly sessions or just a few times a year, massage therapy can play a vital role in maintaining your overall health and well-being.
